ePack #7 will likely be the last ePack of the summer. I hope you have found the ePacks helpful and informative as you navigated preparing for the start of the school year. We are so excited to have you on campus next week, and we look forward to welcoming you to the Nicholas School community.
Orientation starts on Monday, August 19, with breakfast and check-in at 9:00 AM (ET). All new students are expected to attend and participate fully in Orientation. Check out the schedule of events!

ADVISOR ASSIGNMENTS
By now, you should have received your advisor assignment letter. The advising assignment letter includes your advisor’s name and contact information. You should also be able to view your advisor’s name in DukeHub under the Academics tab.
We sent letters to your Duke email through Duke Box. Please check your email for an automated message from Duke Box to access your letter. NetID login required.
DIAGNOSTIC EXAMS
Scores for the diagnostic exams have been published on Canvas.
Read the scoring definitions to understand your score.
If you have any questions about your scores, email the NSOE registration team.
DUAL DEGREES
Have you been admitted to a dual degree program?
If you have been admitted and plan to pursue a dual degree program at Duke University or the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hilland you havenotyet notified the Student Services office, please do so as soon as possible by submitting thedual degree notification form. For non-Duke programs, please send a copy of your letter of acceptance and enrollment confirmation form tonsoe-registrar@duke.edu.
INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
This is a gentle reminder that international students must check in withDuke Visa Services as soon as they arrive (i.e.,before the start of Orientation). Registration with the Duke Visa Services office isrequired and involvestwo steps: Online e-registration and In-person check-in. Students must submit some information online through Terra Dotta and go to Duke Visa Services in person to present their registration documents.

Duke University offers a comprehensive range of health and wellness resources to address various aspects of student health, including mental, physical, and emotional well-being. As a part of the Orientation programming, we invited representatives from the university’s Wellness Center to share information about the wellness-related resources, services, and support available to students.

GO PASS
All Duke students can receive unlimited free rides on GoTriangle buses by enrolling in the GoPass program sponsored by Duke Parking & Transportation Services. Eligible users must have a Duke NetID and Duke email address that ends in duke.edu to qualify for thefree GoPass program.
No-cost access to the GoPass program is part of Duke’s array ofalternative transportation resources, including resources for carpooling and vanpools, aimed at alleviating parking demands around Duke and creating a more sustainable campus. Students will likely be using the Slack Group more often during Orientation and throughout the school year.

FIELD DAY 2024!
Field Day is a special annual and traditional event of the Nicholas School with a long and colorful history. It is open to Nicholas School students, faculty, staff, alumni, and their families and guests.
If you plan to attend, you must RSVP. This is necessary to ensure that we have enough food for everyone!
